Meet Our Team

Susan Barbara Cohen

Susan established the firm in 1983 and remains the senior partner of the firm. She obtained a BA LLB degree from Wits University in 1977 and after specialising in property law for many years, obtained an LLM in Property Law from Wits. She is an admitted Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer and has also obtained certificates in Mediation, Arbitration and Deceased Estates Administration. She lectured in conveyancing for the first Conveyancing Law School, which was established in 1984.

Marlize Swart

Marlize is one of our Conveyancing Consultants. She studied at the University of Pretoria and obtained the degrees of BCom Law and LLB (cum laude). She has been practising since 2000 as an Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer and specilaises in conveyancing. She has expert knowledge of the Deeds Office Registration process and oversees the firm’s registration matters in the Pretoria Deeds Office. She also lectures part-time for the Law Society of South Africa’s School for Legal Education and Development.

Tertia Susan Prinsloo

Tersia the firm’s Johannesburg Deeds Office Conveyancing Consultant. She is an expert in the field of Conveyancing and Deceased Estates. After completing her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 1991, she worked as a State Prosecutor and served her Articles at the office of the State Attorney in Johannesburg. She was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 1994 and has practised as such since that time. Her experience and guidance in the conveyancing process has been invaluable to the firm.

Catharina Elizabeth van Graan

Generally known as Karlien, she is a Director of the company. Karlien obtained a BCom Law degree in 2008 and an LLB degree (with distinction) in 2010 from the University of Pretoria. She was admitted as an Attorney and as a Conveyancer in 2012 and will shortly be admitted as a Notary. She served her clerkship as a Candidate attorney with Van Der Merwe, Du Toit Attorneys where she obtained experience in all fields of law, with emphasis on property law. She currently heads up the Conveyancing department and oversees the transfer, mortgage bond and property development registrations.

Precilla Sejwane

Precilla is the Senior Conveyancing Paralegal Manager and oversees the mortgage bonds. She has had many years experience in a legal practice and also has extensive knowledge in the administration of Deceased Estates with special focus on deceased estate property transfers.
